The Tinbergen Institute is the Netherlands Research Institute and Graduate School of Economics of the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR), the University of Amsterdam (UvA), and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU).

The Institute is founded in 1987 and named after Professor Jan Tinbergen, Dutch Nobel Prize laureate in economics in 1969. The Tinbergen Institute is located in Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
